honeymoon, part 1

When Matt and I set out to pick our honeymoon destination, we only had a couple requirements:
  1. spend some time in a place neither of us had been (this makes for the best adventures)
  2. whales (this was my requirement, Matt humored me)
After MUCH research, and a very generous offer from my parents to use their timeshare, we decided to travel to Vancouver, BC to the Pacific Shores Resort and Spa on Vancouver Island for seven days.  We would then travel by train to Seattle for three days.

After booking the resort and purchasing plane tickets to Vancouver, I was excited to research fun things to do.  In my research, I learned that Vancouver is not on Vancouver Island (silly me for assuming).  Our resort was actually three hours from where we would land, and the only (reasonable) way to get there from the city is by ferry.  This is when I realized our honeymoon travel would involve planes, trains, automobiles, and boats… and also when I decided to stop being a crazy control freak, and hand over honeymoon arrangements to Matt.

He did a really great job booking everything.
We had a great adventure.
